Contractor Questions and Government Responses Solicitation No. W912P826BA024

Amendment 0001

Question (Inquiry ID: 11856026):

Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions Para., 5 thru 7 C state production rates per day for each site and that the time starts when the Task Order is issued.

The quarry will not start making the stone until the order is received and towing will take a minimum of 7 days to reach the New Orleans area. Additional time will be needed to produce the stone and get it to the site once the Task Order is issued. A minimum of 21 days needs to be added to each Task Order to allow for production and delivery of each stone type.

Response:

The duration of the task order is determined by the contract stone placement rates per calendar day as specified in the contract for the type of placement in each task order. Section 00 73 00, paragraph c. Completion says that that the time specified in each Task Order shall start when the Notice to Proceed is issued. Task order notice to proceed will be issued accounting for the time it takes to make and transport the stone.

Question (Inquiry ID: 11864324):

Section 01 00 00 General requirements states work will be issued under Task Orders. Can you tell us where the first Task order will be and what it will consist of so we can have an idea as to what we will need first pertaining to personnel, equipment and type and quantity of stone?

Response:

The contract will be awarded with the minimum guarantee. A meeting will be held with the Contractor after the award of the contract to discuss anticipated work.
