SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The following have been added by full text:

Offeror Questions and Government Responses:

Question 1: What is the legal load limit on the paved haul road? Is there any amendments for this project?

Response: The legal load limit is unknown for the paved haul road. For this contract, the load limit shall not exceed standard HS-20 truckload. At this time, this is the only amendment that has been issued for the subject project.

Question 2: “Onsite pit dirt must be encapsulated by material offsite” Can you please explain in detail?

Response: It is presumed that the question is in reference to Paragraph 3.1.6 “Borrow Areas with High Salinity Content Soils” in Section 31 23 00.00 12. If the project borrow area has material with a salinity content, greater than 1,500 ppm. Then that material with the salinity contract over 1,500 ppm may be used in the core of the berm and must be covered with 12 inches of embankment material from the project borrow area that has a salinity contract less than 1,500 ppm. If the project borrow area does not have any material with a salinity contract below 1,500 ppm. Then borrow material from the project borrow area will be used for construction of the core of the berm and another Government borrow source will be provided for constructing the last 12 inches encapsulating the material with the higher salinity content.
