SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING & TRASH REMOVAL

Work is located at the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New Orleans District Facility at 7400 Leake Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118-3651. Site visits will be coordinated with James Syrdal, Facility Manager, room 263, 504-862-2008.

The purpose of this contract is to provide all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, supervision, and education required to provide the US Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District Headquarters (MVN-HQ) facility a single stream recycling and trash collection service.

Recycling is mandated by Presidential Order that requires Federal Agencies to recycle over 50% percent of waste generated at each facility. The facility has approximately 800 employees in 5 major buildings. The majority of Single Stream Recycling will come from the HQ Building #830.

Fifty to 80 percent of trash removed from the HQ Building will be recyclable, and must be diverted from landfills to recycling centers. Failure to do so will be a breach of contract. True waste will be delivered to area landfills in accordance to current local, state, and federal laws.

Contractor will be responsible for separation of all recycled items.

Location of containers will be specified by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and / or the Contracting Officer (KO) after a mandatory pre-work site visit and meeting. Any resultant contract will contain Contractor’s containers and schedule.
