Paragraph “b.” under section 1.2.1 “Requirements” under section 01 11 00 states “The priority of the dredge areas should be set based on the before dredge survey with areas with the highest shoaling such as areas not dredged in the previous year. In addition, dredge area six should be a priority.” Will the

USACE allow the Contractor to commence operations at dredge area six and proceed inbound numerically for the duration of the project?

The Biological Opinion designates Stations 740+00 to be the landing station for the Bradford Island DMPS. Will the USACE allow the Contractor to utilize the canal on the East side of Bradford Island to lay subline in it and land on the East side of Bradford Island? From that landing location, the Contractor would access the East edge of the DMPS by laying pipe across the island from East to West in efforts to shorten the discharge pipeline length.

The landing points are up to the dredging contractor and field conditions.

Will the USACE allow the Contractor to place material from Reach 10 and Reach 11 into the Mandeville DMPS instead of the Bradford Island DMPS in efforts to reduce discharge pipeline length?

Yes, see amended pricing schedule.

Bid Items 00015 and 00016 for Reaches 17 and 18 respectively designate the Dredge Material Placement Site as “Tule Island.” The listed “Tule Island” is not listed on the “Approved Dredged Material Placement sites” in the Memorandum of Understanding between the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region and the USACE San Francisco District nor is it listed on the Biological Opinion from the United States Department of the Interior’s Fish and Wildlife Service. Can the USACE please confirm permitting approval for material disposal at Tule Island?

According to the plans, a perpendicular line from the centerline of the channel at Station 1975+00 does not intersect the Roberts Island DMPS. Can the USACE provide the coordinates for desired location of pipe entry into the Roberts Island I

DMPS?
