No. RFP Section Question Response
The information provided now does not completely show contour lines where dredging will be performed.
We would like to request sounding data of the project in “xyz files” and line files in CAD format.
Having this information available will help the bidders to prepare the most competitive bids.
Yes, the latest survey sounding data will be available to all the bidders.
2 It appears that the hydrographic survey for the solicitation was performed using single beam. Will USACE collect survey data using multi beam before the bid? If so, we request that an “xyz files” be made available to bidders.
The xyz data for the single beam survey will be sent out as part of the responses to the RFIs.
3 As it stands right now, the
Contractor’s method of survey is not stated in the Specifications.
Will the USACE specify the survey method to be used by the Contractor such as single beam or multi beam?
The Contractor may use single beam for QC surveys. The Government will use single beam for pre and post dredge surveys and multi-beam survey to clear each reach for high spots.
4 How does the USCOE define the payable quantity for areas between project depth and 1-foot of paid overdepth?
The Contractor will be paid for all material removed from the 1-foot paid overdepth layer as defined in Section 01 32 23, Para. 3.4.1.2 .
