QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question 1: Reference drawing 65W806-3 R1 Note 8. Please clarify how many gate and valve position sensors are required and who is responsible to provide the new sensors? If the contractor is responsible to provide these sensors please provide a catalog number. (Did not see any cat# in the specifications per 26 05 00 2.10 as shown on drawing)

Answer: Each valve recess contains the machinery for one valve and each gate recess contains the machinery for one gate. A total of (8) sensors are needed for the vales and gates and shown on drawings 65W806-3 R1 and 65W806-4 R1. It is the contractors’ responsibility to provide the new sensors based on the specifications given in specification section 26 05 00 paragraph 2.9 Position Sensors.

Question 2: Reference drawing 65W761-3 Note 4. States see drawing 29 65.2 for cabinet replacement. Is the intent to replace the surface panel only for the control and valve gate or do we provide a complete new console?

Answer: A complete new console is to be provided per specification 26 05 00 paragraph 2.3.2 Control Console Enclosures.

Question 3: Reference drawing 65W761-3 Note 4. I cannot find drawing 29 65.2 Please provide.

Answer: This drawing is provided as a part of the reference drawings. It is titled Control Station Cabinet Details and the drawing number prefix is 02-l471.

Question 4: What is the job’s actual duration? 420 calendar days, or 262 calendar days?

Answer: 262 calendar days

Question 5: On Dwg 02-L471-29/24.4, there is a reference to note 1, but the note is missing from the page. Please advise.

Answer: Note 1 is shown at the bottom center of DWG 02-L471-29/24.4

Question 6: We are respectfully requesting a general notes/symbols/abbreviations page to help assist with identification.

Answer: This page does not exist and will not be provided for this project.

Question 7: In spec section 01 11 00 summary of work part 1 note 1.1.1 project description, B, it states replace all wiring in the cross over, between manholes C1 and C2, and C3 and C4… Is this supposed to say Manhole F? DWG 65W806-3 R1 does not show anything going into manhole C4.

Please clarify whether this is a typo or if the runs are just not shown on the DWG

Answer: The runs to C4 are not shown on DWG 56W806-3. See reference drawing 65W765-2 for runs to C4.

Question 8: Can you confirm that we are only replacing the raw water line as shown in the schematic on DWG 67W412 not the compressed air, vent, fire protection, waste water, or treated water lines?

Answer: Only the raw water lines are being replaced.

Question 9: We cannot find a cable routing diagram for manholes C1, C2, C3, C4. Please advise on where this info can be located.

Answer: See reference drawings 65W765-1 and 65W765-2.

Question 10: The overall electrical plan (upper and lower end) which is drwg 65W806-3 R1 and 65W806-4 R1 does not have man holes A, B, D, and E labeled. There is conduit and wire demo that corresponds to these man holes. Please advise on their location
