About this file
This document is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract (SF 30) for a federal contract opportunity to procure a centrifugal purifier for the Corpus Christi Army Depot. The amendment extends the offer due date from 2 June 2025 to 6 June 2025 and includes detailed technical specifications and questions/answers for the centrifuge procurement.
The technical requirements specify a centrifugal purification system for hydraulic fluid (MIL-PRF-83282) with precise parameters: maximum flowrate between 2.0-5.0 gpm, 100-230V single-phase power, maximum weight of 250 lbs, maximum dimensions of 35"×35"×60", portable design with wheels, and capability to filter to ISO cleanliness code 15/13/10. The system must remove water content to 200ppm and eliminate minimum 95% of solid particles between 2-5 µm, with an ambient temperature range of 200°F. Key considerations include potential electric heater requirements and the need for a water collection tank.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1) What will the US ARMY be processing through the centrifuge. Is it to be for diesel/ biofuel or light lubricating/hydraulic oil? Processing rate needed is 1135 l/h (5gpm)?
Hydraulic Fluid MIL-PRF-83282. Flowrate no higher than 5gpm. Flowrate between 1-5gpm is acceptable.
2) If this is oil & not fuel, then an electric heater would need to be offered, and voltage would need to be 220V/60Hz.
See the attached brochure for the MIB-503 module.
That would depend on the design of the centrifuge. We need to be able to filter to cleanliness level (ISO CODE) 15/13/10 and have a storage tank for the water removal. Water removal can be done via filters or by heating up the hydraulic fluid which would require an electric heater. If their sys-tem is using an electric heater to remove water, then yes one would be required.
The MIB-503 does not appear to be portable and on wheels, which is a CCAD requirement.
3) Could you please provide the technical specifications, model requirements, or any supporting documentation necessary to ensure compliance with the solicitation?
Technical information:
1. Maximum Flowrate of between 2.0 - 5.0gpm
2. Capable of filtering Oil with the viscosity of MIL-PRF-83282.
3.Voltage 100-230Volts;Single Phase;50-60Hz;10-16 Amps
4. Maximum Weight (250lbs)
5. Maximum Dimensions L×W×H (35”×35”×60”)
6. Must be a complete compact system that is portable and on wheels.
7. Collection tank for H2O. (The intent of the centrifuge is to get the water content in our hydraulic fluid down to 200ppm.)
8. Capable of removing minimum 95% of all solid particles between 2-5 µm from MIL-PRF-83282.
9. Ambient- 200°F Temperature Range.
10. Capable of filtering to cleanliness level (ISO CODE) 15/13/10
