PURCHASE DESCRIPTION *AMENDED TO REFLECT OPERATIONAL CHANGES

1. MO AVCRAD requires (4 each) Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer to support the MO AVCRAD Maintenance program that supports a 14 State region providing DEPOT level maintenance to 31 support facilities aircraft that is brought into the MO AVCRAD facility. The Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer must be able to support Shipping and receiving operations involving packaging of small parts. For example, some of the uses of the Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer will be package small parts, package electronic components for shipping, and assist in building up parts kits for depot and road maintenance.

2. MO AVCRAD has need of Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer that is capable of repeated use. The Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer must be well designed, with minimal maintenance and up keep. The Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer must be light-weight enough to move efficiently, but able to safely and repeatedly perform its function. Procurement should be from a company that has a proven track record of backing their product and providing service, readily available parts, and support for future years. When it arrives on site, the Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer must be mission ready and backed by a multi-year warranty.

3. The minimum specification and needs that are required to meet the standards of MO AVCRAD requirements are as follows:

PAC Machinery Electro Pac Vacuum Sealer, NAME BRAND REQUIREMENT:

a. Unit shall have a 36 Inch sealing length.

b. Unit shall have a 5/16 Seal Width.

c. Unit shall have an upper and lower heated seal bars for reduced seal time.

d. Unit shall have bag stretchers to reduce wrinkles in the seal area.

e. Unit shall have a “seal only” switch to use as a bag sealer with no vacuum.

f. Unit shall be equipped with pneumatically operated jaws for high pressure sealing.

g. Unit shall be equipped with a temperature controller to ensure consistent seal quality.

h. Unit shall be equipped with independent timers for vacuum, seal, and cool.

i. Unit shall be equipped for sealing thick or gusseted bags.

j. Unit shall be foot pedal operated.

k. Unit shall be equipped with quality stainless steel nozzles.

l. Unit shall be equipped with a gas-flush after vacuum, for modified atmosphere packaging.

m. Unit shall be equipped so that consistent vacuum levels are achieved every cycle.

n. Unit shall be equipped so that it can utilize vacuum only, gas flush only, or gas flush after vacuum.

o. Unit shall be designed with work shelf and bag support to protect the product during the packaging cycle.

p. Unit shall be designed to safely package products in a wide variety of bagging materials.

q. Unit shall have a locking control box cover to prevent unauthorized setting changes.

r. Unit shall have an emergency stop button.

s. Unit shall have a low pressure jaw closing system.

t. Unit shall have an automatic jaw interference release system.

u. Unit shall have stainless steel construction, per “OTHER OPTIONS” heading on technical description sheet. MUST HAVE STAINLESS STEEL FRAME OPTION

v. Unit shall have Integrated Air Compressor, per “OTHER OPTIONS” heading on technical description sheet. MUST HAVE INTEGRATED AIR COMPRESSOR OPTION image1.png
