W912NR-22-R-0053 Questions and Answers
Question #1 Is there sufficient power being run to the doors currently to support the addition of the requested equipment?
Answer: No power is routed to the doors but power is in the room.
Questions #2 Paxton offers the Net2 Controller 682 in two variances; 12V/24V power supply or Power over Ethernet (PoE) where power is being supplied to the board via a Cat 5 cable. Please specify which board is required for these applications.
Answer: POE is the preferred method because we have POE switches to provide the network path across the state.
Question #3 What system is the customer currently using to manage their secure access system? It is important to know in order to ensure compatibility with the Paxton equipment.
Answer: There is NOT a system on these doors. The doors are using the KABA two factor locks.
Question #4 Approximately how many Kaba Mas X-10 locks will need to be removed and/or relocated? I am not sure because each door is different.
Answer: I have not seen the new equipment, during the current door lock installation a couple had to be relocated and metal plates installed.
