It states that Pilots will receive ongoing Physical Therapy at 2 visits per month but some may need more depending on their needs. If more therapy is needed is that supposed to be included in the bid, as in I would take care of them with any musculoskeletal issue that come up during the contract? Or is there compensation rates for additional visits over what is stated in the contract?
Provide a quote for 840 each of 1 hour physical therapy appointments. It is estimated the 35 pilots will require 2 X 1 hour phycial therapy (PT) appointments each month. This equates to 70 hours on average of PT each month. Due to flying schedule some months may have over 70 hours and some under.
If more visits are required than the initial contract it will need to be a discussion between the Contracting Officer Representative, Contractor and Contracting officer to make sure we are not making a cardinal change and we remain within the scope of the contract. At that point additional funds will have to be secured prior to moving forward from what is funded and required by the contract. The belief is the 840 individual 1 hour sessions will cover the need even if a pilot may only need one session that month and another pilot needs three sessions for an average of two. In addition, the purposes of this program is one with a focus on prehabilitation to prevent injuries.
Injuries will be handled through the military health system.
The contract will be set up for progress payments allowing the contractor to invoice for services rendered each month. The Contracting Officer Representative will then validate with the Contracting Officer what is being billed for prior to accepting the invoice in the Wide Area Workflow system
