Provide in-line fans with centrifugal backward inclined blades, stationary discharge conversion vanes, internal and external belt guards, and adjustable motor mounts. Mount fans in a welded tubular or rectangular casing. Provide a fan that axially flows the air in and out. Enclose and isolate fan bearings and drive shafts from the air stream. Bearings shall be heavy duty regreasable ball type in a pillowblock cast iron housing selected for a minimum L50 life in excess of 200,000 hours at maximum cataloged operating speed. Motor shall be heavy duty type with permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings and furnished in the specified voltage, phase and enclosure. Belts shall be oil and heat resistant, not-static type. Drives shall be precision machined cast iron type, keyed and securely attached to the wheel and motor shafts.

Drives shall be sized for 150% of the installed motor horsepower. Variable pitch drives shall be factory set to deliver the specified cfm at the indicated static pressure.

ADD the following Subparagraph

2.3.4 Combination Air Monitoring Station with Integral Damper

Furnish and install at location shown on the plans, an IAQ damper with integral airflow measurement station. The airflow sensing section shall be an integral part of the outside air damper assembly and shall incorporate an aluminum honeycomb air straightening section and measuring ports for air velocity and static pressure sensing. The assembly shall measure and control the minimum amount of outside air as recommended by ASHRAE Standard 62. The overall depth of the air measurement section and damper assembly shall not exceed 11”. The IAQ damper frame shall be 6” x 1.375” x .125” 6063T5 extruded aluminum. The outside air damper blades shall be airfoil type 6063T5 extruded aluminum with neoprene blade edge seals mechanically fastened to the extruded blade seal pocket (glued or clip-on seals are not acceptable). Integral extruded aluminum pitot sensing blades shall include a clear anodized

Texas Air National Guard finish to reduce corrosion. Leakage shall not exceed 4 CFM per sq. ft. of damper face area at 1” w.g. Pressure drop through the entire assembly shall not exceed .13” w.g. at an air velocity of 1,000 FPM. Each IAQ damper assembly shall include 24VAC electric, spring return, modulating actuator(s) to work in concert with an application specific controller. Each controller shall be factory calibrated and correspond with blade/actuator position. Programming logic and calibration shall be nonvolatile EPROM. Control panel shall include 120VAC primary to 24VAC secondary transformer, microprocessor-based control board, transducer and wiring terminal strip. All internal piping and wiring within the control panel shall be performed by the damper manufacturer. Piping on the IAQ damper assembly shall be out of the air stream and shall be of plenum rated material. Complete piping and wiring details describing these features shall be included in the submittal package and shall accompany the product upon shipping. Entire assembly shall control and report airflow within an accuracy of 5%. The complete assembly, including all piping and wiring of IAQ controller, shall be assembled and commissioned in an ISO certified manufacturing facility. Controller shall be capable of control and communication with Building Direct Digital Control (DDC) System. DDC system shall send a variable output signal to IAQ controller to adjust damper position. IAQ controller shall send a variable output signal to the DDC system which is proportional to the CFM measured at the damper.
