W912KC18Q5002 - Temporary Water Filtration RFIs
# Question Government Response
1 Two wells are mentioned in the RFQ.
Presently there is filtration servicing at the new VOC stripping building after the forwarding pumps. Is this the location for current RFQ ?
The filtration will be conducted at the same locations currently being serviced.
2 Chlorination is mentioned on the RFQ.
Presently another vendor services and monitors this portion of the water. Is this part of the current RFQ?
Correct, this is not a requirement as chlorination is a responsible action on a separate contract.
3 Presently we use Carbon and Resin on the site. Will this continue to be acceptable?
Yes, the use of carbon and resin is acceptable.
4 Presently we are testing 2x/month. With resin and performance of the resin 1x/month should be adequate. We have a mid-bed sample point that will give us a warning for PFOS&PFOA and we have about 25% of the resin after the mid bed sample point for safety. This will save testing costs which are expensive. Would 1x/month be acceptable?
Yes, one month testing will be acceptable with the use of resin.
5 Will power for heat tracing and container heating continue to be available?
Yes, power will still be available.
