Project Scope To install three 5 ton package Air Conditioning units, and design and install hardened HVAC ducting from the 3 AC units to the Radar Van and Ops Van. The intent is to install Air Conditioning units that will reduce the heat load of the equipment as per the Technical Orders of the equipment. Also, the intent is to ducting that will not deteriorate rapidly during inclement weather and provide a better solution for air flow during home station use. This ducting will also be insulated to prevent loss of temperature and reduce the work load of the AC units, therefore reducing cost of parts, labor and equipment down time.
The ducting shall be hardened and insulated to prevent being removed by high winds and reduce deterioration rate. Ducting will have flex at connection points on equipment to allow for normal operational shifting while equipment is in use.
The Air Conditioning shall be 5 ton package units with a minimum of 2000 CFMs. The installation will include the wiring of the cable assembly and cannon plug. The cable assembly, part number (98270) will be 20ft in length. The cannon plug, Mil. Spec. number 90556C32412P, will need to have the pins installed as well. The pins will need to be crimped and then soldered.
