The contract is a new requirement from the Department of the Army Georgia Army National Guard. The contract will utilize a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to provide industrial hygiene assessment services across multiple states. The RN can be licensed in only one state and does not need to be licensed in each state visited. The Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) designation is not required. The RN must perform an assessment at least once every 3 years in each of the states noted, typically meeting with the state Occupational Health Nurse at their office. Text version

1) Is this a new requirement?

Yes

2) Please clarify if the RN can be licensed in one state, or is an RN that is licensed in each state visited required?

The RN can be licensed in one state only and does NOT need to be licensed in each state.

3) Please confirm that the Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) designation is not required.

The COHN designation is NOT required.

4) The PWS states that the RN must perform an assessment at least once every 3 years in each of the states noted in Tech Exhibit 3.

a. Is the requirement to visit at least 1 installation in each State, or if there are multiple installations in a state; is it all of them?

When the nurse travels to any state, they will normally meet with that state’s Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) at the OHN’s office (usually at the state HQ but some are assigned elsewhere in their state). Almost all work will take place at the state OHN’s office. In a rare circumstance, the contracted nurse would visit another facility in the state.

b. This is a two-year Contract. What states (if known) will not have to be visited as a result of already being visited in the first 9 months of this calendar year (Pre-September contract start date)?

The schedule runs with the Fiscal Year and will starting in October. The tentative schedule will be provided to the contractor upon award. This schedule does change a bit throughout the year to accommodate unscheduled operations and responses to natural disasters. Updates will be provided as soon as they are approved by the Safety team at NGB.

5) CLIN 0001 is for the RN, and CLIN 0002 is for the CIH, correct?

No. CLIN 0001 includes both positions for the service. CLIN 0002 is for Travel.

6) Please confirm that the Secret security clearance may be obtained after contract award.

The security clearance can be obtained after the contract award. If so, the contract company will be responsible for obtaining the clearance.
