About this file

This is a Contractor Questions and Government Answers document for RFQ W912JB-26-Q-A019 issued by the Department of Defense. The document addresses eight clarifications regarding a JIB crane procurement with the following key specifications: The crane must have a 2-ton lift capacity with a maximum height under boom of 12 feet, despite the crane's 20-foot lift capability. The installation of the crane is required, and the installation location has a cement slab floor that will accommodate a foundation-mounted system as needed for the 2-ton capacity. Contractors may provide matched 2,000-pound components for the crane, electric hoist, and manual trolley system, or alternatively submit 4,000-pound components that are factory derated and permanently labeled for 2,000-pound maximum operation. Power requirements are flexible; 115V single-phase power is not mandatory, and three-phase 240V power is available with 115V single-phase also provided on site.

The RFQ closes on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. This document serves as clarification guidance for potential contractors preparing proposals and does not contain pricing information, evaluation criteria, or other procurement terms beyond the technical specifications and installation requirements addressed through the question-and-answer process.
