QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS RELATED TO:
W912JB-13-T-4116
Phragmites Control as of 16 Sep 2013 @ 1:07pm
Dated: 12 September 2013
| Q1. | What is the latest date the herbicide application can take place? |
| A1. | The service must begin before 30 Sep 13, PERMIT expiration is 31 December 2013. Therefore, application (treatment) cannot/will not take place past this date. |
Q2. Can you provide us a color map and GPS coordinates for the treatment areas?
A2. No we cannot at this time.
Q3. Can the MI DEQ approved, aquatic herbicide "Aqua PRO" be use instead of "AquaNeat"? These are the same products, just different trade names.
A3. Selfridge has applied, but has not as yet received the Certificate Of Coverage (Permit) for Aquatic Nuisance Control. Unless the COC specifically states a product may not be used in Selfridge's treatment process, then the State (MDEQ) approved and listed "Aqua Pro" would be acceptable. The materials to be used MUST be State (MDEQ) approved and listed.
| Q4. | Is water available on site for us to refill our spray and holding tanks? |
| If yes, are there multiple sites around the Base? | |
| A4. | There is one site on base authorized for contractors to use. A hydrant in front of bldg. 154 at the intersection of Jefferson and Wilbur Wright. |
| Q5. | What are the payment terms after application has been completed? |
| A5. | 30days after receipt of complete invoice |
Q6. Prior to this bid solicitation, have you already received a contractor proposal for Phragmites treatments for the 2013 season?
