QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Is the moving company required to disconnect and reconnect desktop computers? No, HIANG personnel will disconnect and reconnect their own desktops. HIANG will unplug workstation computers, printers, etc, contractor to move computers, printers, etc, to 3400. HIANG will reconnect at new location. The actual workstations (furniture), which some of them are hard wired to the wall, will require contractor to provide electricians to disconnect in 3416 and then reconnect in 3400*.
All pictures hanging on the wall will also be removed and packed by HIANG. Contractor is responsible to move boxes to staging location in 3400.
*Note: Contractor is responsible for removing ALL furniture in building 3416. Contractor shall reconfigure in building 3400 per HIANG specs, however, not all furniture that comes from 3416 will go back into 3400. In such cases, a staging area will be designated by HIANG and residual furniture will be left in this area for HIANG’s future use.
Additionally, HIANG personnel will pack their own personal items, movers to move packed boxes, HIANG personnel will unpack personal items at new location
2. Will the contractor have to remove TV wall mounts from building 3416? No.
3. Will the contractor have to provide packing materials? Yes. Contractor shall provide the following packing materials to HIANG personnel for their use to move their office supplies:
330 moving/mailing boxes (10 boxes per work station)
4. Will the conference table located on the second floor of Building 3416 go on a second floor in building 3400? No, the conference table will go on the 1st floor in building 3400.
5. Will the contractor be responsible to move copier machines? The awardee will not have to move copier machines that are leased. However, there are 3 non-DAPS* copiers that DO need to be moved as they are not leased machines.
* (Two copiers need to be moved to second floor and one to the first floor, bldg. 3400)
6. If there are data wires connected to workstations, can they be cut or will the HIANG have a data contractor pull the wire? Awardee will not be responsible for “cutting” or “pulling” data cables. This will be taken care of by HIANG prior to move. Customer will be packing their existing patch cables before the contractor arrives; customer will need those patch cables when moving into 3400.
7. Please advise what your end users mean by “credenzas” under office “MXOP”. They listed 6 ea but during the walk-thru, there were no credenzas. No credenzas in MXOP.
8. Would it be possible if you could provide Make and model of modular work stations so we can research info regarding wiring? Undetermined. Furniture is not Steel Case as we initially assumed.
