About this file
This is a Vendor Q&A document for a federal contract opportunity with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC-EL) for veterinary services. The solicitation seeks a licensed veterinarian (AV) to provide animal care oversight for aquatic vertebrate research programs, specifically fish species including Invasive Carp, Fathead Minnows, zebrafish, Rio Grande silvery minnows, and paddlefish.
Key contract requirements include: firm fixed price annual pricing structure; Mississippi veterinary licensure required at time of proposal submission; oversight of approximately 10-15 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols subject to semi-annual reviews; five-year period of performance structured as 1 base year plus 4 option years; anticipated contract start date on or before September 30, 2024 (coinciding with the current veterinary contract expiration); and a competitive solicitation open to all interested small businesses with anticipated transition support from the current veterinarian. The document does not specify whether a Schedule of Items or SF1449 is included, and the contractor must demonstrate the proposed veterinarian has appropriate expertise in aquatic vertebrate medicine.
