About this file
This document is a description of requirements for procuring one MIRA 6000 and two MIRA 3D PRO devices from Germann Instruments for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL). The MIRA 6000 is specifically intended for airfield and pavement research, with a focus on nondestructive testing of concrete pavement structures using ultrasound tomographer technology. The procurement includes detailed specifications for each device, such as power cables, verification sample plates, protective carrying cases, software licenses, and additional accessories like Type C chargers and exchangeable battery packs.
The solicitation (W912HZ25N7184) is a sole source notice indicating intent to award a firm-fixed price contract directly to Germann Instruments, as they are deemed the only vendor capable of meeting the government's exact specifications. The contract is not competitively bid, though vendors may submit capability statements. Delivery is specified within 60 days following award, and responses to the notice must be submitted to Tam Coronel by 1:00 PM CST on Friday, 16 May 2025. Germann Instruments is noted as not being a small business under NAICS code 334519, with a size standard of 600 employees.
