About this file
This document is a pre-proposal conference presentation for a two-phase design-build competition for the whole-house revitalization of four family housing buildings (680-683) and two accessory carports at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. The project has an estimated cost range of 1,000,000,000 to 2,500,000,000 Japanese Yen.
Phase 1 proposals are due October 1, 2024, and up to 5 offerors will be selected to participate in Phase 2. The evaluation will be based on past performance and the proposed Designer of Record's technical approach. Phase 2 will evaluate the offerors' technical approach to the phasing plan and price. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price design-build contract. The solicitation is only open to local sources physically located in Japan and authorized to perform the required construction work.
