About this file
This document provides a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming invitation for bid to repair kitchen ducts at various locations in Japan. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District will issue an IFB solicitation in late March 2023 seeking bids for design-build repairs to kitchen duct hoods, ducts and exhausts at Camp Zama, Sagamihara Family Housing Area and Sagamihara General Depot due to inadequate access and buildup posing a fire risk. The anticipated construction period is 15 months for a contract valued between 100 million and 500 million Japanese Yen. The solicitation will identify the mandatory site visit date, question deadline and bid due date. Only local Japanese sources authorized and licensed for construction work in Japan will be considered for award of a firm-fixed-price contract by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2023.
