About this file

This document is an announcement for an Industry Day event hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Savannah District (SAS) related to a federal contract opportunity called READI (Responsive Emergency Action for Disaster and Infrastructure).

The purpose of the READI contract is to establish a purpose-built contracting tool to improve the speed and efficiency of delivering crucial infrastructure projects in the South Atlantic Division's (SAD) area of responsibility. The contract will be available to all SAD Districts and is intended to eliminate reliance on existing contract vehicles not tailored to the region's unique needs. The contract will primarily involve construction services, including but not limited to new construction, renovations, repairs, and incidental demolition and site preparation. Services may be provided through a Design-Build or Design-Bid-Build approach. Contractors must have the ability to mobilize personnel, equipment, and materials within 48-72 hours of receiving a Notice to Proceed. The READI contract may be used for both military and civil construction projects funded through direct and reimbursable means. The Industry Day event is scheduled for July 24, 2024, and interested firms are encouraged to complete a survey by July 19, 2024 to provide input for the acquisition planning.
