This synopsis is for installation of rock revetment along the Savannah River shorelines. This construction magnitude for this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.

Description of Work: Furnish all labor, material, equipment, incidentals, supervision and transportation for work necessary to provide for the installation of rock revetment along the Savannah River shoreline adjacent to the lower end of Jones/Oyster bed Island with options for a second segment of rock revetment along the upper end of the island including a barge access area located at the intersection of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and the Savannah River, and a floating boat dock located in the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) on the upstream end of Jones/Oyster bed. The estimated length of revetment required for the lower rock revetment installation at Jones/Oyster bed Island is approximately 4,425 ft. with the estimate of the optional revetment installation length of 1,962 ft. The revetment will be graded granite No. 4 aggregate, intermediate stone GDOT Type 1, and armor stone placed to a top elevation of +13 mean lower low water (MLLW). The design wave height is 6.5 feet. The Base Project will include approximately 73,632 Tons of Armor stone, 26,820 Tons of Intermediate stone GDOT Type 1, and 18,774 Tons of bedding stone (filter stone). The optional (option 1) revetment includes approximately 32,681 Tons of Armor Stone, 11,870 Tons of Intermediate stone GDOT Type 1 and 8,309 Tons of bedding stone (filter stone).
