Product Description / Specifications for HRC® & ORC-A® Purchase Optimization: Application of Hydrogen Releasing Compound (HRC™) and

Oxygen Releasing Compound-Advanced (ORC-A®)

Approximately 2600 lbs of HRC™ will be injected into the subsurface using direct push technologies by CESAS in house personnel. The HRC will be injected at a rate of 4 lbs/foot within a 15-foot zone ranging from 20 – 35 feet below ground surface. HRC will be injected using a two piston GS2000 pump.

The GS2000 pump is a stand alone hydraulically-driven dual piston pump. Designed to pump high viscosity materials such as HRC®, the GS2000 can deliver grouts or remediation fluids at a rate of 3.5 GPM with pressures up to 1850 PSI. HRC® is a proven technology for this type of remediation and is significantly less expensive than other groundwater treatment systems for removing TCE contamination.

HRC® is an electron donor material that, when hydrated, is specifically designed to produce lactic acid over a 12-18 month period with a single application. HRC is unique in that it is composed of a proprietary polylactate esther compound to produce lactic acid, the most efficient organic acid for promoting anaerobic bioremediation of chlorinated solvents in groundwater and saturated soils.

Approximately 1800 lbs of ORC-A™ will be injected into the subsurface using direct push technologies by CESAS personnel. An in situ application of an ORC-A™ product is planned for the area up-gradient of a monitoring well with persistent low level vinyl chloride detections. The purpose of this in situ injection is to optimize the degradation processes occurring in the subsurface to enable groundwater remediation goals to be achieved and site close out to occur. ORC-A™ is a compound composed of calcium oxyhydroxide, calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate and phosphates that is designed to release 17% of oxygen by weight when hydrated over a 12 month period. The ORC-A ™comes in a powder form (-325 mesh or 44 micron screen) that is mixed with water in ration of 1 lb to 1/3 gallon of water to form thin slurry. The slurry is injected using a single stroke geoprobe 1000 single hydraulic piston pump with a flow rate from 0.9 to 2.3 gpm up to 1000 psi.

Note: If you are unable to supply both products please state that above by the item you can not supply.
