Question-Would it be permissible if the teaming member be in business for three years, and not the SDVOB?

Answer-The prime contractor must have been in business for at least 3 years.

Question-What is the closest address to the tower or it's Gps coordinates. It will make a difference on whether to deconstruct it or drop it in sections.

Can a mobile Crane get to it...............in other words is there enough room to mobilize on the ground?

Answer-The closest address is 52 Canvasback Rd in the Sea Pines development on Hilton Head Island 29928. GPS coordinates are: N32 degrees 07'57.92", W80 degrees 46'14.63"

I do not believe a mobile crane can get to the site because of trees, heavy vegetation and fences between the nearest roads and the tower. Don't believe you can mobilize on the ground.

Question-I would like to formally ask for clarification regarding the credit for scrap metal. Is a best engineering estimate acceptable for purposes of bidding? Also, what documentation (if any) will be required for scrap metal upon completing the demolition activities?

Answer-I think a best estimate would be fine for the scrap and no documentation is required. Just need to ensure all material minus the concrete footings are removed from the site.

Question-What is the measurements at the bottom of the base?

Answer-Estimate the bottom of the base to be around 19' feet by 19' feet.

Question-What is the diameter and schedule of the steel pipe (Can better estimate rebate for scrap steel)

Answer- Unknown. The original bill of materials says it is 8" inches outside diameter.

Question- Can we leave trailer for scrap on nearby street while loading, and can it be left overnight? Or is there a place off street to put trailer?

Answer-It may be possible to leave a trailer either on the side of the road (S. Forest Drive) or by the tower in a vacant lot. I need to get approval from the city. Should not be a problem, but we don't know for sure now.

Question- How wide is the trail? Can a small tracked loader make it in and out okay?

Answer- The trail is not big enough for a full-sized vehicle, but a small tracked loader should make it through OK.
