Questions and Answers 03 SEP 2024

1. A question about the delivery schedule for the equipment. Most of the equipment has a single delivery date schedule of 12/1/2025. Can some equipment be delivered sooner than that? If so, what would be the acceptable timeframe prior to that date when equipment could be delivered?

A. To clarify, delivery date for the base line item (CLIN 0001) is Dec 1, 2024. “OPTION CLINs” 1001-1006 have a delivery of 12/1/2025 and “OPTION CLINs 2001 and 2002 have a delivery of 12/1/2026.

B. To further clarify, “OPTION” line items are not guaranteed. From FAR clause 52.217-7, the Government **may** require the delivery of the numbered line items identified in the schedule as an option item,”

1. If the Government has a need for additional heaters and determines the “OPTION” line item is the most advantageous method to buy additional heaters, it will send the contractor a notice of intent to exercise and then send a modification to fund the desired option line items.

2. The delivery dates for option line items will be determined if/when the option CLIN is exercised.

C. Dec 1, 202X, is given for each option line item, for the purpose of providing timeframe and contract expiration point of reference.

1. The timeframe informs potential offerors when to potentially expect the option to be exercised so they can price accordingly. Pricing for option line items 1001-1006 will need to remain valid until Dec 1, 2025, and pricing for option line items 2001 and 2002 will need to remain valid until Dec 1, 2026.

2. Expiration point of reference, if the Government decides to exercise the option, notice must be given within 60 days of contract expiration (12/1/202X).

2. Is there a current incumbent? If so, what is the award number?

A. No

3. Is this a new requirement?

A. Yes

4. Are funds currently available for this solicitation?

A. Yes, there is funding for the base line item 0001.

5. Will the government be tax exempt.

A. See details above regarding exercising option line items.

B. If deliveries are not timely and not due to an excusable delay (iaw paragraph (f) of FAR 52.212-4), contractor will be in default and subject to contract remedies in accordance with FAR 12.

7. Can you clarify the total amount of furnaces my calculations add up to 32 in total ?

A. Total is 30:

1. The initial/base CLIN 0001 is for the delivery of 4 Each, forced air gas furnaces (Thermocycler GTR-486 or equal).

2. The remaining/option line items equate to 26 various sized forced air gas furnaces (see schedule) 1001 (4), 1002 (4), 1003 (4), 1004 (4), 1005 (4), 1006 (2), 2001 (2) and 2002 (2).

8. Will the furnaces be going to the same location or multiple locations?

A. All furnaces will be delivered to the receiving building.

9. Will the furnaces only need to be delivered? If so, will someone be available to pick the furnaces up? How would delivery take place? Will personnel be available with a forklift to unload the equipment?
