W912GY-16-T-0017- Rental of 6K, 15K, 21K Forklifts
Q: The classification for rough terrain forklifts is class 7 that is tele handler forklifts and tractor type forklifts with very big tires in the front. Class 5 forklift have pneumatic tires with dual tires on the front on bigger units. Class 5 is a counter balanced forklift but is not classified as rough terrain. Sierra is requesting pneumatic tires. Which class is acceptable?
A: Being counterbalanced is not a requirement on the SOW. If both classes have pneumatic tires then the next requirement is that they need to be rough terrain units. Each requirement needs to be met individually in order to be acceptable. Not as a class.
