About this file
This is an Experience/Capability Worksheet for sources sought market research related to a Deployable Airbase System (DABS) with Facilities, Equipment, and Vehicles (FEV) laydown site construction project in Karup, Denmark (Solicitation Number W912GB26X1AT4). Respondents are required to complete an experience chart indicating whether they possess experience as either a prime contractor or subcontractor in seven specific areas: demolition and environmental remediation with site preparation; civil work including site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities; site layout with standoff distances and vehicle circulation; horizontal concrete construction; grading and drainage for storm events; potable water distribution and sewer collection per Denmark Standards with utility extensions through local contractor Karup Utility; and knowledge of quality control, scheduling, and safety procedures comparable to USACE projects. For each affirmative response, vendors must provide a detailed description of similar construction projects completed within the past ten years, including whether work was performed as prime or subcontractor, project location, and U.S. dollar value.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District is conducting market research for a firm-fixed-price, design-bid-build construction contract with an anticipated magnitude between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and a 365-calendar-day construction duration from Notice to Proceed (estimated January 2027). The solicitation is anticipated in May 2026 with a pre-proposal site visit in June 2026 and contract award expected mid-October 2026. The project involves construction of a new laydown area with concrete tent pads, gravel bed, site improvements, and utility connections to accommodate 550 personnel using Alaska Small Shelter System (AKSSS) units and related base expeditionary airfield resources (BEAR) assets for contingency operations. This sources sought submission is for market research purposes only with no government commitment to issue a solicitation or make awards.
