About this file
This document is an Amendment (0002) to a federal solicitation for the NESP Mooring Cell and Dolphin Lock 7 project (Solicitation No. W912ES25BA009), issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in September 2025. The amendment updates the Project Table of Contents and Section 05 50 14 for Miscellaneous (Structural) Metal Fabrications, and includes a revised drawing (S-512) detailing specific metal fabrication requirements.
The technical specifications cover various metal materials and fabrication standards, including structural steel, sheet piling, steel plates, W-shape piles, and checkposts. Key material requirements include using ASTM standards for steel types (A36, A572), specifying grades and yield strengths, and providing detailed guidelines for bolts, screws, washers, and fastener compatibility. The drawing (S-512) provides specific design details for checkposts and kevels, including steel tubing specifications, welding requirements, and dimensional information, with a note indicating an alternative steel grade option for certain components.
