QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
In the Scope of Work section, it states the following: 1. Contractor to provide one new hydraulic concrete grinder equivalent to an Antraquip AQ-1, for mini tracked excavator meeting requirement listed below. Would the Epiroc ER100X-4 be an acceptable alternate option for them to consider? https://www.epiroc.com/en-me/products/excavator-attachments/drum-cutters/er/drum-cutter-er-100x The product quoted must meet the specs listed in the solicitation. The proposed grinder does not meet all the required specs.
Is the Cat 305 a D or E series machine? The model #: 305CR Build #: 07A What type of hydraulic hose fittings are on the CAT 305 they’ll be mounting the attachment to? (Epiroc comes with JIC fittings) The fittings on the excavator are male Hydraulic flat face quick coupler. See attached picture.
Do they want manual rotation functionality or hydraulic rotation for the following spec? Hydraulic attachment must be equipped with integrated rotation system to allow grinding head 360-degree rotation. Hydraulic rotation
Epiroc states that the Cat 305 max PSI is only 3,843, yet the spec calls for Pressure (PSI): Minimum 5500 Maximum 5,850. Should the PSI spec range be modified? This should be Max Pressure (PSI) Rating:
Minimum 5500 Maximum 5,850
