1. Object. The work to be performed under the contract consists of furnishing all plant, materials, equipment, supplies, labor, per diem, and transportation, and performing all work in strict accordance with the schedules. All work, materials, and services not expressly called for in these specifications, which may be necessary for complete and proper operations to carry out the contract, shall be performed, furnished, and installed by the Contractor at no increase in cost to the Government.
The Government intends to lease one 2000 HP towboat with operating personnel. The tow will be used on the Mississippi River between Cairo, Ill., (Mile 953.8 AHP) to the Head of Passes (Mile 0.0). 2. Inspection of Equipment. If deficiencies are of a minor nature and may be easily repaired, the offeror will be given 48 hours to correct all deficiencies found.
