About this file

The provided document is a Special Notice related to a federal contract opportunity for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, Broward County Water Preserve Areas (BCWPA), Contract 2.1, C-11 Impoundment Land Clearing project in Broward County, Florida. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District is holding a Site Visit/Industry Day event on June 17, 2024 to gauge interest and capabilities of potential contractors, including small businesses, for this requirement. The project consists of clearing and grubbing vegetation from the C-11 Impoundment area, with debris to be burned on-site or hauled off-site. Due to the organic muck soil conditions, specialized heavy equipment may be required. The contract also includes requirements for identifying and observing protected species. The estimated construction magnitude is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000, with a small business size standard of $45 million. After work completion, all disturbed areas must be seeded.
