SITE PLAN

ENGINEERING OVERVIEW

Foundation Preparation – 9.25 miles

► Multi-Phased

• Clearing & Grubbing

• Demucking / Removal of Overburden (0.5 – 2.0 ft average with pockets greater than 2.0 ft expected)

• Preliminary Cleanup

• Inspection & Mapping

• Special Treatment

• Final Cleanup

• Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) placement

• Protective Cover placement

Cutoff Wall Construction – 9.25 miles ► 18-inch minimum thickness ► Depth varies from 35 ft to 60 ft below ground surface ((-)25 ft, NAVD88 to (-)50 ft, NAVD88)

• Average ground elevation of site is approximately 8.5 ft, NAVD88

► In place permeability less than or equal to 5.0 x 10-6 cm/sec at 28 days ► Average Unconfined compressive strength (UCS) between 100 psi & 500 psi at 28 days

All work except below grade portion of cutoff wall to be performed in the dry.

CONSTRUCTION CONSIDERATIONS

CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCING PLAN REQUIRED FOR GOVERNMENT APPROVAL.

► Surface and subsurface water management will be a critical component of the project

► Site is underlain by a highly permeable limestone layer of variable thickness containing numerous voids and solution holes. Muck/Overburden thickness above limestone is on average 0.5 to 2.0 ft, however there are pockets of greater thickness.

ACCESS AND STAGING

► Access is shared with other USACE and SFWMD contractors. Coordination will be required.

► Staging and stockpile area(s) within the construction limits will be left to the Contractors discretion.
