C-4 TIMING, ACCESS, FLOODING, WEATHER

C.4.1 Timing of Applications: All sites shall be sprayed with a pre-emergent herbicide during time interval 1 between April 16th and April 30th on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. Access to the recreation areas will be between 8am and 4pm. The Contractor shall contact the COR Daniel Clark with any proposed changes in the schedule. The address for all facilities are listed in Technical Exhibit A.

C.4.3 River Levels and the Impact on Treatment Sites: River levels vary depending on time of year and precipitation. There is the probability of high water occurring during the active growing season. Should this condition occur, some treatment areas would be partially or completely under water. The Contractor is strongly encouraged to visit www.rivergages.com and/or NOAA’s North Central River Forecast Center at http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ncrfc/ for river gage information prior to spraying. NOAA’s website details the current and forecasted gage readings. If the gage readings are at or above the values provided below or are expected to rise to within 3 days, the Contractor shall be prohibited from treating all areas at that recreation area. If water levels are conducive to spraying, the Contractor shall only treat areas that are not underwater and not expected to be underwater within the next 3 days.
