SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

The following have been modified:

SPECIFICATIONS

Specifications GPS Receivers

1.0 GENERAL: This requirement is for eight (8) each GPS heading systems that will be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island, Illinois. The Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver shall be fully operational and ready for field observation that provides support for positioning using a secondary provider correction service using dual rugged type antennas. The receiver receives satellite signals and performs precise 3-dimensional relative (differential mode) vector measurement and positioning based primarily on carrier phase and integrated Doppler measurements. The receiver shall be equipped with all necessary antennas, cables and accessories for a fully functional mobile DGPS capable system.

2.0 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

2.1 ACCURACY: The GPS receiver shall deliver sub-meter horizontal positioning accuracy with a single antenna.

2.2 FREQUENCY AND TRACKING REQUIREMENTS: The GPS

receiver shall be capable of tracking the L1 and L2 satellites, and also be WAAS, OminStar VBS, and CA Code capable. It shall be capable of measuring carrier phase, Doppler, integrated Doppler and pseudo range (code phase).

2.3 INTERNAL RECEIVER TESTING: The receiver shall perform self-test and checks to detect electronic malfunctions and/or faulty data collection. The receiver also shall provide notification of failures to the logger software via serial port. The receiver shall perform any needed NON-FACTORY calibrations automatically.

2.4 ANTENNAS: The single system antennas shall be rugged type antennas suitable for marine vessels and the GPS receiver requirements.

2.5 MULTIPLE SATELLITE TRACKING: The receiver shall be capable of tracking up to eight (8) satellites simultaneously, each on an independent channel.

W912EK17T0049

2.6 FIELD PLANNING: The internal receiver software shall compute the availability and positions of satellites for any given time and terrestrial position using data gathered by the GPS receiver. Software shall also be available for use in mission planning functions and provides for satellite rise and set time, satellite elevation and azimuth, PDOP, and other pertinent factors.

2.7 GPS RECEIVER SOFTWARE: The software provided shall compute the availability and positions of satellites for any given time and terrestrial position using broadcast ephemeris gathered by the GPS receiver. The software shall utilize positional dilution of precision (PDOP) predictions and horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP) predictions in its position solution. It shall have the capability to output standard NEMA GPS data strings to an internal RS-232 port and also provide differential GPS data input via RTCM 104 rel. 2.0 for compatibility with the US Government provided Hypack software system. The display shall be digital with menu options for selecting the above mentioned correction services.

2.8 RE-INITIALIZATION: The receiver shall have a fast time to first fix of less than thirty (30) seconds after a power interruption, and a fast re-acquisition time of 3 seconds or less for the loss of satellites due to bridges and other objects that may block the GPS antenna.

2.9 ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS:

Operating temperature: -10° F to 125° F Storage temperature: -30° F to 125°F

2.10 WARRANTY: Manufacturer’s Standard Warranty coverage for a minimum of one

(1) year.

3.0 DELIVERY: The GPS receivers shall be required to be delivered within 2 weeks after award.

All deliveries shall be made to the following address:

US Army Corps of Engineers Attn: Chris Reger Clock Tower Building 1500 Rock Island Drive Rock Island, IL 61201
