About this file
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for the Lower Granite Lock and Dam Fish Pump Rewind and Bearing Redesign project, issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District. The document seeks market research to identify potential contractors for providing guide bearings, shaft sleeves, and related components for three fish pumps. The project requires specialized components including upper and lower guide bearing assemblies, bearing housing, shaft sleeves made of ASTM 420 stainless steel, and specific certification requirements for painting contractors (SSPC QP 3) and coatings inspectors (SSPC-PCI Level 2 or NACE CIP Level 2).
The Sources Sought Synopsis is seeking responses from small businesses, including 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and HUBZone businesses within the NAICS code 335312 (Motor and Generator Manufacturing). Interested firms must submit a five-page capabilities package by 11:00 AM PST on 7 April 2025, including business classification, CAGE code, UEI number, and responses to survey questions about their ability to meet technical specifications and certification requirements. The final solicitation type (set-aside or unrestricted) will depend on the responses received, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
