About this file
This is a virtual Industry Day presentation from the US Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District regarding solicitation W912DW25B0004 for repairs to the Grays Harbor North Jetty in Washington state.
The project involves major maintenance repairs to approximately 7,500 feet of the north jetty requiring 100-125k tons of new quarry stone. Key requirements include: minimum stone density of 167 lb/ft3, armor stone sizes between 10-35 tons, and all work must be performed from land. The project will raise crest heights from +20' to +23' MLLW in the outer jetty section and restore the jetty root and channel side slopes. Construction is planned for FY25-27, with an anticipated award in September 2025. The work schedule includes one year for rock procurement followed by 2-3 years of active jetty repairs, with an in-water work window of July 16 - February 14. The presentation also covers small business program requirements and requests industry feedback on potential option items and the use of Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) versus Invitation for Bids procurement approach.

- Jetty root last repaired in 2000. Repair back to +23’ MLLW and restore channel side sideslopes that have failed in areas.
- Inner jetty (tail) last repaired in 1942. Will raise to +20’ MLLW. Full cross-section reconstruction (filter, core, armor layers)
