PROJECT DETAILS:
The Grays Harbor and Chehalis River Federal Navigation Channel is located in Grays
Harbor County on the southwest coast of Washington State. The navigation channel traverses the harbor to provide safe navigation and wide turning areas for large ships while they traverse Grays Harbor from the Pacific Ocean to the Port of Grays Harbor and local facilities at the cities of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Cosmopolis. Dredging will be accomplished by a mechanical clamshell dredge and bottom dump barges for disposal. Dredging will occur every year within the approved in-water work windows of 15 July mid-September and 1
December through 14 February of any given year. Dredged material disposal/placement shall be at the South Jetty Beneficial Placement site (priority site from 15 Jul through 1
