About this file

This document contains a market survey for a proposed maintenance dredging project of the Long Island Intracoastal Waterway Federal Navigation Project at Moriches Bay in Suffolk County, New York. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is seeking to remove approximately 100,000 cubic yards of sand and place it along the shoreline of Cupsogue Beach County Park. Dredging would be required to a depth of negative six feet Mean Lower Low Water plus two feet allowable overdepth. Interested contractors are asked a series of questions regarding their experience with similar dredging and beach placement projects, owned equipment suitable for the work, production rates, safety procedures, and willingness to bid. Responses to the survey will help the Corps assess contractors' project execution capabilities for this maintenance dredging work estimated to cost between $1 million and $5 million.
