SECTION L - INSTRUCTIONS, CONDITIONS AND NOTICES TO BIDDERS
The following have been added by full text:
Request for Information Answers for JRL Vault Pumping Services W912DR22Q0007 Q1. How much is pumped annually (average in the last 3 – 4 years)?
A1. The number of pumping’s listed per vault on the quote sheet is based on historical averages as to how often each vault needs pumped during a recreation season.
Q2. How often is each location pumped (average in the last 3 – 4 years)?
A2. Historically it can be every two weeks Q3 How often do you pump on Holidays and after hours (average in the last 3 – 4 years)?
A3. We pump each vault in the recreation areas each holiday. After hours pumping’s do occur in an emergency. It happens 3-4 times each recreation season.
Q4. How many loads per week (average in the last 3 – 4 years)?
A4. That is based on the size of truck the vendor has in order to estimate the number of loads per week. On average each area is pumped every two weeks. The larger the truck the fewer loads.
Q5. How strict is the 2-hour time frame? I ask because we might be out doing another pumping when called.
A5. This can be critical to ensure a recreation facility is not closed to the public for more than 2 hours.
Q6. We do not have a truck that will haul 5000 gallons per load. We have a truck that will haul 3000 and a truck that will haul 1200 gallons. Will this be a problem?
A6. This can be a problem to ensure a recreation restroom is not closed and unavailable to the public to use for more than two hours.
Q7. 3.G says that you must attend the pre bid meeting to be considered for award. However on page 59 – Quoters are urged to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
Can you please provide clarification IF you must be attend to be awarded the meeting?
A7. The site visit is required. A second site visit is scheduled for 10:00 AM EST 20 December 2021 add an additional opportunity to attend.
Q8. From the site visit folks that attended were asking if there is a requirement for a 6,000-gallon truck?
A8. The PWS has been update to reflect the requirement for a $5,000 gallon truck.
