Spec 013553 Security Procedures paragraph 1.2 says that this is a US Citizen only project. Pg 5 of the Solicitation seems to allow US Persons also to work on this project. US Persons includes lawful Permanent Resident Aliens.

On Drawing TS-101, there is reference to a new communications duct bank tying into an existing manhole (MH-05). There is no direction as to what the requirements are for the OSP backbone cable.

Please clarify. (See accompanying illustrations from the drawings for futher clarification)

The outside plant (OSP) cabling shall consist of (1) 600 pair copper, (1) 24 strand single mode fiber, and (1) 48 strand multi-mode fiber. Each cable will tie to the existing trunks from the existing MH-05 and terminate inside the CSR. The copper cabling will terminate on a protective entrance terminal (PET), the single mode fiber will terminate to a fiber patch panel, and the multi-mode fiber will terminate to a fiber patch panel.

On Drawings T-601 through T-615, there are various Telecommunications System Riser Diagrams. None of these drawings direct us as to what the backbone requirements are. The drawing below which is T-615, shows conduits between TR’s, but again no direction.

Please clarify. (See accompanying illustrations from the drawings for futher clarification)

There are no inside plant (ISP) backbone requirements. Cabling will be provided by the Fit-Up contractor.

On Drawing T-001, The Telecommunications Legend (below) show various outlets receiving “Keyed LC Fiber Ports”. As an example, a half shaded triangle shows “(3) Keyed LC Fiber Ports” are to be provided for that outlet. Typically LC fiber connectors are in pairs (Duplex). The outlet diagram on the below right (Drawing T-501) appears to show 3 single LC ports.

Are we to assume that the intent is to have 6 strands of fiber to each of these outlet types, two per port as opposed to 1 strand per port? Please advise. (See accompanying illustrations from the drawings for futher clarification)

The Telecommunication Legend and T-501 are correct. The illustrations are diagrammatic.
