1 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger General See Specification 01 05 00 – 1.9. Please provide the latest copy of the Ft. Meade Construction Design Criteria document.

2 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger Architect

In the structural drawing set, drawing S- 503 details steel blast frames at windows and doors. The drawing notes indicate that locations are shown on Architectural drawing A-500. If you look through the architectural drawings provided there is no drawing A-500.

Please reference Amenendment 2, which includes corrected window schedule, window notes of re-using existing windows and blast framing instead of buying new, and dimensions for widow locations on the floor plan sheets and on on sheet A-616 (not A- 500).

3 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger Civil Do the Manhole and Hand-hole details on C-520 and C-521 apply to only new Duct Bank Manholes/hand-holes, or all new manholes and hand holes?

The contractor should follow the details shown for all new manholes/handholes.

4 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger Roofing In RFI Group #1, Question 8, in response to USACE response that the Contractor must use the same roofer to uphold existing roofing warranty. Please provide this roofers contact information.

5 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger Drywall Basement RCP, Rooms Vest 010, Corridor 018, Elev Vest- 020, Vest 011 all have what appears to be drywall ceilings depicted. The finish schedule for Vest 010 calls out Exposed, Corridor 018 calls out Exposed, Elev Vest 020 calls out ACT 1, Vest 011 also calls out Exposed. Please clarify the intent for finishes in these rooms.

For rooms 010, 011, and 018, the finish schedule is correct with open-to-structure ceilings. For room 020, the finish schedule is correct with ACT-1.

6 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger Finishes

Please see shower spec 22 00 00. a) Please provide all dimensions for the shower pan (SH-1). b) Please confirm whether it is required to be ADA accessible. c)Please provide wall finishes and additional information for this shower. By the spec we are to install a drain and a shower faucet. If pan is to be fiberglass, a separate floor drain may not install properly.

A) Minimum 3'-0" x 3'-0" with ADA-compliant entrance threshold B) Yes it is required to be ADA accessible, provide grab bars, shower seat and install control per ADA accessible design as noted on Sheet A-501.

C) Wall finishes are to be Solid surface shower panel (SS2) to ceiling per specification 06 61 16 paragraph 2.3.9 Shower Wall Panel System to include soap dish. Provide a solid surface non-metallic shower pan with a center drain location.

7 Whiting-Turner Kyle Krueger Plumbing The Plumbing plans riser diagrams show two electric water coolers, bi level units being installed. The Plumbing floor plans show five water cooler units being installed, but are very faint as to their clarity and location. Are five required consisting of one at the basement level, two at the first floor level, one at the second floor level and one at the third floor level?

Yes, one set of bi level units are installed on the basement level, two at the first floor level, one at the second floor level, and one at the third floor level.
