About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity related to landscaping services for Clinton, Hillsdale, and Perry Lake Projects. The solicitation is for a Master Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) that will be used to issue future contracts for landscaping services at lake offices. Key details from the Q&A include:

The government intends to consolidate multiple previous service contracts and attract a larger pool of bidders. For boundary line maintenance, contractors can expect 0-10 miles of work per year, with most areas not having been maintained for over 10 years. Maps and specific acreage will be provided to BPA holders when individual contract requirements arise. This is a new contract with no single incumbent currently providing all services across the three lakes, though some bidders may have previously performed services at one or more lake locations.

Q - Do you have maps with acreage for this solicitation?

A – This solicitation is just a master agreement that we will use to write contracts o of, as future requirements arise. Only master BPA holders will be allowed to quote on these future landscaping projects that arise at these lake o ices. Maps will be provided for the BPA holders when contract requirements arise.

Q - For this BPA do you have an approximate idea of how many boundary line miles will be complete each year for each lake. Also, approximately when was the last time each lake's boundary line maintenance complete? Any information on this will be helpful for bidding.

A – 0 to 10 miles. For most boundary maintenance requested under this contract the bidder can assume that maintenance has not been performed for over 10 years.

Q - We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.

A- This is a new contract that consolidates multiple previous service contracts at multiple lakes. As such, there is no incumbent that is currently providing all services under this scope of work or that has held a contract at all three lakes. There will likely be bidders who currently or previously performed some of the requested services at one or more of the lakes. Government intent with this solicitation is to attract a larger pool of bidders.
