The contractor shall install the 36-inch SSP at location and grade placement per COR direction. In addition, the contractor shall install one anti-seep collar on SSP and a F-25sb Model Waterman medium duty flap gate on SSP end section (see Drawing C-2). The contractor shall conduct all necessary inlet and outlet drainage ditch excavation to ensure positive drainage into, through and exiting installed pipe. Random borrow for repairs generally consists of sand deposition materials (6" to 50" in depth), located landward of landward levee setback and is cross-hatched area generally positioned and identified as South Random Borrow Area and as is shown on Site Map B-16. COR to identify/flag limits of random borrow area. Random borrow deposition materials shall not be removed below the surrounding agricultural lands found at perimeter limits and removed so as to not retain/pond water. Contractor to utilize haul route as shown on Site Map B-16 for transport of materials. See Drawing C-1 for levee random fill zone.
Impervious borrow for repairs is cross-hatched area positioned riverward the landward levee setback and is as shown on Site Map B-14. Impervious borrow consists of compete removal of remaining riverward segment of existing levee from approximate levee stations 550+05 to 551+60. Existing levee segment shall be utilized and exhausted first, prior to borrow excavation within remaining designated borrow area. Additional impervious borrow shall be obtained and commences 20-feet from the landward levee setback riverside toe line on a 1' vertical on 3' horizontal slope and on a 1' vertical on 3' horizontal slope from MoDOT Highway 159 rights-of-way (ROW). Material to be removed in an even fashion over entire designated area, with positive drainage away from levee/MoDOT ROW and draining to scour feature and/or Little Tarkio Creek.
No borrow to be obtained from MoDOT Highway 159 rights-of-way, to be identified/flagged by COR. All perimeter borrow slopes shall be a 1' vertical on 3' horizontal slope. See Drawing C-1 for impervious fill zone.
Should additional impervious borrow become necessary to compete repair it shall be obtained from impervious riverward borrow area identified at landward levee setback repair station 554+60 to 576+75, removed as described and is as shown on Site Map B-15.
j. Section 35 41 00 Paragraph No 3.12.21 Landward Levee Setback Repair Station 554+60 to

Repair consists of constructing an approximate 2,215-linear-feet long new landward levee setback to a 10-feet wide crown width, with 1' vertical on 3' horizontal side slopes. The government shall provide initial centerline staking of the new landward levee setback alignment. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining and/or replacing centerline staking if damaged. Repair elevations shall be based from hub elevation 100.0 near levee station 554+60. The base grade of landward levee setback is elevation 101.0, which commences at levee setback station 0+00, maintaining this grade (E. 101.0) to levee setback station 1+00, decreasing to elevation 100.0 at setback station 1+50, and maintaining elevation 100.0 to levee setback ending station 22+15. The height of levee embankment shall be increased by 5% tapering to no increase in height at the toe of the embankment. The 5% height requirement cannot be exceeded by greater than two tenths of a foot (0.20'). Within setback reach the contractor shall furnish and install 120-linear feet of 36-inch diameter SSP (0.375" wall thickness), one anti-seep collar and an F-25sb Model Waterman medium duty 36-inch flap gate, or approved equal. The SSP shall conform to ASTM A252 Grade
