Para. 3.1 PREPARATION AND INSPECTION, Narrative changes

The Contracting Officer makes no guarantee regarding the information, data, and physical condition of underground facilities or existing pipes. See Dr. Checks for historic video inspection of pipe. Before commencing with any work, or ordering any materials, physically measure the length and diameter and inspect the existing pipes designated to receive a pipe liner to verify that the rehabilitation plan is appropriate and meets the requirements of

EM 385-1-1. Inspect pipes using CCTV. The pipe inspection will include the entire length of pipe. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, plant, and equipment to perform an internal visual examination, inspection, and color DVD or other electronic recording media to record the pipe lengths to be slip lined or replaced utilizing a crawler mounted color television system specifically designed for inspecting pipe line systems. The camera lens must be able to rotate. A monitor will be provided such that the Contracting Officer's Representative can view the inspection as the video is being taken. In addition, at each joint and at areas of the system that show damage or deterioration the inspection camera must rotate 360 degrees around the joint or observed deficiency. Each joint or deficiency will be photographed, identified as to the type of deficiency, and located by the distance from entry point.

Submit pipe inspection procedures to locate breaks, obstacles and connections in pre-construction submittals for approval. Note all connections and any conditions which may prevent proper installation of the liner. Correct these conditions prior to liner installation. Coordinate slip lining efforts with the Contracting Officer and the owner of the affected pipe. Submit the CCTV Recordings and Report Logs and/orwith photographs and Digital Photographs and
