Request for Information (RFI’s) Responses to the Decontamination Wash System

QUESTION - are they wanting four (4) wash rack systems or one (1) wash system with four (4) stations?

• (4) Each - Water Cannons: 20 GPM @ 200 PSI with 50ft hose to nozzle

ANSWER – Four (4) separate above ground wash racks

QUESTION - Are these to be at same location on single wash station or again, are there to be four wash stations with four water cannons each?

• (4) Each - Water Storage Tanks: 300 gallon capacity (Poly)

ANSWER – Location on Camp Buehring, Kuwait four different site pads

QUESTION - We do not understand why these are needed, no explanation, is there a water supply available?

• (4) Each - Pressure Washer: 3 GPM @ 3,000 PSI (Diesel power, 50ft hose and nozzle)

ANSWER – No water supply available, water must be brought in site daily, held in storage tank

QUESTIONS - (1) Again, are they wanting four (4) wash rack systems or one (1) wash system with four (4) stations? Need to understand more.

(2) Diesel Power? Do they mean diesel fired or diesel drive and diesel fired?

(3) Is there electrical power available?

• (4) each - 21’ x 40’ x 1’ Containment Island above Ground Wash Station (Supports up to 68 metric tons)

ANSWER – Four (4) separate above ground wash racks; all power is diesel powered generators;

No electrical power is available; yes, each wash station must be able to support 68 metric tons

QUESTION - We assume this is the wash pad but it states four (4) that are 21’ wide by 40’ long.

This makes us think that there are four separate locations. Need clarification?

• (5) E ach - 8'x21' rugged polymer construction wash pad modules with Integrated Water Collection System

ANSWER – Yes, there will be four separate site pads.

QUESTIONS -

(1) This could be relative to item above. A 40’ long wash pad would include 5-sections that are each 8’ in length but adds to our confusion. Need clarification of plan?

(2) Are our all steel Hydropad platform modules acceptable?

ANSWER – Steel pads are not preferred/acceptable for this project

• (4) Each - 4' x 8' rugged polymer Drive On/Back off Ramps Includes pump out box with pump and float QUESTION - Does this mean they want only 1-ramp 4’ wide on each wash pad? Doesn’t make sense for a normal system so more information is necessary.

ANSWER – Entrance ramp and exit ramp; vehicles are expected to drive on and then drive off after completion

• 4' high walls on (3) sides Maximum Load Capacity of 68 metric tons (150,000 lbs.)

QUESTIONS - (1) We believe this was changed to drive on/ drive off with ramps at both ends. If so wall would only be on sides. Can you confirm?

(2) I weight rating based on total or on each vehicle axle?

ANSWER - Each wash station pad needs to be able to support 68 metric tons, total vehicle weight. Walls on both sides.

• 1 Ea. Replacement Kits for repair

QUESTION - They would not need to repair our system. What are they asking here?

ANSWER - A repair kit or service kit is a set of items used to repair a device, commonly comprising both tools and spare parts.

• Do you have a preferred vendor or basis of design for the Wash Pad?

Answer - No.

● Detail of application to include equipment to be serviced?

Answer – Heavy military equipment.

• Is that per axle or total weight over some defined area?

Answer - Total weight

• Are there any drawings or illustrations? – Picture below.
