1. What size totes are needed - 32-gal Consoles, 64-gal, or 95-gal?

A: The current Tote size is a: 65 Gallon Container that is Labels/Marked and complies with ANSI Z245.60

2. Taking the number of totes requested (50), and the number of totes serviced annually indicated in the Pricing document (240), it appears that the frequency of service might be as few as 4-5 times per year. Can you either confirm that or give an estimate of servicing frequency Ft. Wainwright will require?

A: We require shredding services every 3-4 weeks.

3. Also please confirm that all 50 containers will be serviced at each visit. If this is not the case, please describe how many containers will be serviced on each visit.

A: On average we will require 20 Totes full of documents to be shredded each visit. Each visit will require a Certificate of Destruction at the competition of services.

4. If the servicing is not on a set schedule, how much notice will the CO/COR be able to give to coordinate setting up the needed service?

A: We attempt to provide at least 2-5 working days advance notice.

5. Will all of the material presented for destruction be paper? Or will there be media, cardboard and/or other material needing destruction?

A: Paper/file folders only

6. Do background checks and/or training need to be completed prior to commencing the work?

A: Only those mandated by your company policy and contracting.

7. Is there a wage rate table that is being applied to our workers on this contract, and if so what is the specific job for the work?

A: Attached as a separate document.

8. It will help us pass along our economies of scale if we know more about the site:

*Across how many buildings will the 50 containers be deployed, and how far apart are the buildings?
*Will the contractor retrieve the containers or will the hospital staff move them to a central location?
*Are any containers located above ground level, and if so are freight elevators available to move them to ground level?
*Is there sufficient parking for our truck that allows the time to retrieve, service and return all of the containers?

The answers to # 8 above is: The Document Shredding will take place at one Location, The Medical Supply Warehouse, BLDG 3567 Neely Road, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. There is sufficient parking. All totes are distributed and retrieved by our personnel. Not all 50 tote are in use at once. We replace full totes with empty ones as needed. Once 18 – 22 Totes are full we contact the vendor responsible for shredding our HIPPA documents.
