If this contract is terminated, the Government shall be liable only for payment under the payment provisions of this contract for services rendered before the effective date of termination, i.e. previously delivered boxes.

1. In the case of buildings with no stairs, is removal through windows allowed?

A: All multilevel buildings on Oahu have stairs, however not all have elevators. 1. What items will be packed in the supplied boxes? Who is responsible for packing them?

A: The boxes can contain a wide variety of office supplies and items as the customers are not limited to what they can or cannot include in the boxes. All customers pack and seal their own boxes prior to the commencement of drayage services.

Will the service members or employees include an attachment or will they seal the boxes and no inventory will be conducted?

A: The Site Survey with the customer will be used to develop the estimate for the number of boxes and weight, as well as to perform a visual inspection of the furnishing and equipment w/customer to develop the move estimate. The boxes will be delivered to the customer to pack and seal prior to the start of the move. The Inventory will be for total count of boxes along with furniture and other office equipment/furnishings that does not fit in the 16"L X 12"W x 12" H boxes. The customer will provide the contractor with an outline of where to put the items and boxes in the new location. An inventory of the items in the boxes is not required.

1. Can you tell me where to find the award for the expiring contract? And what the current rates are for the contract?

A: The current contract and rates are not available for dissemination. If there is a specific question regarding the contract please submit.

1. Most moving companies calculate a price for a relocation based on volume of items being moved and hourly rates. In order to calculate a price per pound for moving, is it possible for you to provide the smallest weight which would be moved? And also the average weight of the moves?

A: The smallest weight for which the contractor would be contacted for is 500 pounds and the largest move could be a several hundred thousand pound office relocation.

1. For the packing materials, the solicitation is requesting a cost for one box, tape, and other packing materials. The price for this is fairly straight forward, but the delivery becomes an issue. Do you want the cost of delivery included in the cost of the materials? Or do you want a cost for delivery for set numbers of boxes?

A: Costs for delivery of boxes should be included in either of the priced CLINs however there is not set number of boxes, as the number of boxes needed per move can vary greatly.
