QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q1. Solicitation says 9 passenger vans. If we only have 12 passenger vans will that be ok?

A1. Yes, a 12 passenger van is acceptable. Include this information in the Technical portion of the quote. The quantity of vehicles does not change.

Q2. Page 7, under Objectives, includes "Vehicles will not be more than four (4) years old unless approved by the Contracting Officer (KO)." Our suppliers indicate most available rental vehicles are 5-6 years old with gas engines instead of diesel. Can this be changed to "not more than eight (8) years" old?

A2. Vehicles can be no more than eight (8) years old. Quoter is reminded of the vehicle replacement and roadside assistance requirements on page 7 of the solicitation.

Q3. Is the Government willing to accept gas engine instead of diesel?

A3. No. Diesel engine is required. If there is an insufficient quantity of diesel engine vehicles available, identify the quantity of diesel vehicles in the technical portion of the quote.

Supplement to A3. Provision FAR 52.212-2 is updated to allow for multiple award scenario if a single quoter is unable to meet all requirements with diesel engine vehicles.
