A.1 BACKGROUND/DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTION

A.1.1 This solicitation is intended to result in the award of a five-year, firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity

(IDIQ)type contract with first delivery order under FAR 16.504, Indefinite-Quantity Contracts, for the supplies specified. The resulting contract will establish pricing that remains in effect for the period identified in the Schedule. Delivery orders will be placed as

Government needs arise.

A.1.2 In accordance with authority of 41 United States Code (USC) Section 1903, Special Emergency Procurement Authority, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 18.2, Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities. This authority enables this action to be streamlined and expedited using commercial and simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with (IAW) FAR 2.101, FAR 13.500 and FAR

12.102(f)(1).

A.1.3 There is a Technical Data Package (TDP) associated with this procurement. The Distribution code is code "D", which limits access to overall TDP. Please refer to Section C for additional information.

A.2 MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM QUANTITY

A.2.1 In accordance with FAR 16.504(a)(4)(ii), the minimum quantity of supplies the Government will acquire under the contract is 6,936 each. A.2.2 The Government is NOT obligated to purchase any additional requirements beyond the Minimum Guaranteed Quantity.

A.2.3 The maximum quantity of supplies the Government can acquire under the IDIQ contract is 267,416 each.
